Downgrade Window 7 to XP (Microsoft Phone Number for Tech Support)

Please understand that we also do not have enough information about this thing. From the Downgrade Rights Chart, we can downgrade to Windows XP Professional and later to Windows Vista Business, however I cannot confirm if it will be changed.

Outlook it disappears from the task bar

When I minimize Outlook it no longer is displayed on the task
bar.
Soultion: right-click the outlook icon on the bottom right of the computer and uncheck "Hide When Minimized"

* On the title bar (title bar: A horizontal bar at the top of a window, dialog box, or toolbar that shows the name of the document, program, or toolbar.) of the active window, click Minimize Button image . The program window is minimized to a button on the taskbar.
You can change the default setting to hide the taskbar button, so that it only shows as an icon in the notification area. You can also hide the icon in the notification area.

The default settings are to display the Outlook taskbar buttons and icon. Therefore, if you are not seeing an Outlook button or icon, it might have been turned off.

this copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log on.

1. Restart in Safe Mode (F8)
2. Go to /System/32/ and delete wgatray.exe & Go to /dllcache/ if it exists and delete the same .exe If not don't worry about the second.
3. Go to Start => Run => regedit
4. Browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WI… NT\CURRENT VERSION\WINLOGON\Notify
5. Delete WgaLogon folder
6. Reboot.
I guarantee if you do this you won't get any more notices. No need to reinstall Windows or do any of that cumbersome stuff with Microsoft.

How to Restore XP to an earlier date

You can restore your xp to an earlier date if any software you have installed does not work right.
click on start
go to Accessories
go to system tools
go to system restore
click restore my computer to an early date.
click on the date that you want to restore xp to.
click next.
it will take 10 to 30 min depending on how many files you have.
Now your back to normal.

Website Security Certificate Problem

Error message:"There is a problem with this website's security certificate"
This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone.
When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."Or"Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:
Method 1:You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:
In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended). A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear. Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.
Method 2:Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:
Open Internet Explorer
Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.
Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites
Type the URL in the Add this website to the zone text box > uncheck Require server verification >Add > click OK
Click OK to exit.Now you have added the URL successfully into the Trusted Sites security zone.

PC XP Keeps on Rebooting Loop.

When XP keeps on rebooting, the most likely problem is, that your boot config has gone haywire. To fix this try to boot from the XP home cd , do a repair on the current selected installation. in dos mode run bootcfg /rebuild. That should fix your problem if not try to repair windows by reinstalling all dll, this will not destroy any data
